Queen Priscilla-"Fantastic, Strong, And Worthy, Regardless Of My Path!"

Happy New Year gorgeous Queens!

Kicking off the new year with some stunning Queen energy is the beautiful Queen P! Some sessions come in with a lot of joy right from the start, the kind that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and this was without a doubt one of those sessions! The studio was filled with laughter, and it set the tone so perfectly for her session. When someone shows up ready to be themselves, jokes and all, the camera responds in the best way! What I loved most about this shoot is how Queen P quietly challenged the idea of what “beautiful” is supposed to look like! No pretending, no hiding, just a wonderful woman who knows she’s lived, adapted, grown, and is still very much worthy of being seen and celebrated! Sessions like hers are a reminder that boudoir isn’t about erasing change or chasing an old version of yourself; it’s about honouring who you are now, exactly as you are, and letting the experience be light, fun, and human!

Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Quinn compare to your prior experience?

I did one about ten years and thirty pounds ago, and unfortunately, I never got the images.

Why did you do your boudoir shoot?

I wanted to do something for myself that makes me smile. I also wanted to show myself that weight gain, age, and an Ostomy do not make me any less beautiful; they just make me better and make me more unique!

What was your favourite part of the session?

I like to joke and laugh, and Quinn was great at doing both with me!

What did doing this shoot do for your self-confidence, self-worth, and self-image? Tell me your story.

I am a confident person, but even I have days when I feel blah. These give me proof that I am a beautiful person and to keep loving myself. Once I had a permanent colostomy, I had a big change in self-appreciation. Now, I enjoy doing things that show me that I am fantastic, strong, and worthy, regardless of my path!

Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?

The experience was great. I loved that there were no real expectations of me other than to show up. Quinn held my hand through the process and made it effortless, which made me so much more relaxed.

What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?

Making jokes the whole time. I have a wacky sense of humour, and it was let out. Being able to just relax and have fun with the whole team was great!
