Queen Mariah-"Most Importantly, I Am Enough"

Hey there gorgeous Queens!

The stunning Queen M didn’t walk in trying to prove anything or hit some imaginary “after” version of herself, no, she walked in right in the middle of her journey, stronger than she gives herself credit for, still figuring things out, but ready to actually see herself for once! That’s something I see all the time. Women waiting until they’re “done” before they let themselves feel beautiful. And then a shot like this happens, and it clicks: you don’t earn confidence at the finish line. You build it by showing up exactly as you are! Seeing herself through the images wasn’t about weight or milestones; it was about worth, and it was so wonderful to witness her transformation! About finally letting that inner voice say something kind.

Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before?

Nope, first time!

Why did you do your boudoir shoot?

I have been working on losing weight and have lost 60lbs this year. I still have more to go, but I needed to do something to show that there is a sexy, sultry person inside me. I also needed to be shown that I am worthy. I am beautiful. And most importantly, that I am enough. Just me.

What was your favourite part of the session?

Everything! I don't think I could pick out just one thing. I have never had my makeup done professionally before, so that in itself was great. Then everyone makes you feel so at home that you walking around and posing half naked seems like you're just in your own house!

What did doing this shoot do for your self-confidence, self-worth, and self-image? Tell me your story.

Since I have never had my makeup done professionally before, paired with the amazing hair, I never knew I could look like this! I look at these pictures, and holy crap, I am pretty. No, I am beautiful! And that if someone can't see that in a regular day, then they don't deserve to see me look like this!

Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?

It was so much more. I have never really liked or loved any of my pictures before. But these I love, I couldn't decide!

What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?

Only that I had more money so that I could buy everything! And get each image as a big wall piece!

Is there anything extra you would like to tell us?

Thank you so much. You honestly have no idea how this has helped me feel worthy. I have never felt like I am enough, and now, I know. So thank you!
