Have you ever done a boudoir shoot before? If so, how does your shoot with Quinn compare to your prior experience?
I have never done a Boudoir shoot before, this was my first time ever and it was an amazing experience! I came in scared and self-conscious and after the shoot, Quinn made me feel sexy and super confident with how I feel about myself. Thank you so much!
What inspired you to do your boudoir shoot?
Originally the Boudoir shoot was for my husband as our 5th anniversary gift (still was), but after my session, I felt like it was more for myself as a confidence booster than it was for anything else.
What was your favorite part of the session?
Your dog, haha I loved seeing how your dog wanted to join in on the fun! Super adorable ❤️.
What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.
I have a lot of acne on my body, not just on my face, and after getting diagnosed with type 2 diabetes last year, I gained over 15 lbs. None of my clothes fit and having to change my entire health lifestyle took a toll on my mental health. I kept telling myself, “who cares what you look like, you’re perfect”, but whenever I met up with people that I hadn’t see in a while, they would tall about my weight increase and would even ask me if I was 5 months pregnant!!
As a healthcare worker, especially during Covid lockdown, everyone around the world was able to stay at home and destress themselves; but healthcare workers never got that chance, and that stress took another hit on my mental and physical health.
It took a long time, but I finally learned to accept myself for who I am, and when I saw your ad for the boudoir shoot, I told myself “hey why not give this a go, give myself a confidence booster!” Plus the shoot would be a cute anniversary gift for my hubby, show him my sexy side haha. After doing this shoot, I felt so much more confident in myself. I increased my self worth (even when people would tease me), and even with my little tummy, I learned that it didn’t matter what other’s think. All shapes and sizes are beautiful, and society’s narrow minded thinking is a big load of crap!!
Was your experience what you were expecting? If not, how was it different?
I was expecting it to go like what they show in movies, like how models get their pictures taken. I was super nervous about the shoot at the start. But it was totally different, Quinn and her colleagues made everything much more comfortable and fun! There were jokes made, laughter, and holy smokes, a huge workout that I completely passed out from when I got home! Haha.
What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?
Best part of my experience was how everyone at the studio made me feel so comfortable and helped bring out my happy going personality.
To change: I secretly really wanted to pet your dog Quinn and play with him, but was super shy to ask.
Otherwise, I wouldn’t change anything about the shoot!
